We are a (once urban) country couple living in historic Fort Worth. One of our favorite things to do is eat - and eat good food. Over the past 15+ years I have gone vegan, moved to vegetarian, and now consume some fish (pescatarian). I am married to a true meat and potatoes kind of guy. We share our home with a typical 11-year old (loves it one day, hates it the next). So, as we review, we will be bringing each of our unique eating habits to the table.

VegFortWorth
Allow me to make your day all you Veg eaters out there in wonderful Fort Worth. Posted to the iTunes store earlier this week, VegFortWorth gives you a basic list of Veg friendly restaurants in the immediate Fort Worth area.
The 3 main areas of interest include Downtown, Near Southside, and the Cultural/Arts District. No genre of food is off limits.
While the functionality is simple, easy and balanced - the information is rudimentary. Vague restaurant reviews are all that are available - leaving you wondering if it's giving you a review or helping you find a veg option restaurant.
Some restaurants/food options are not veg friendly, so make sure you know your stuff when you go to certain places. Don't be afraid to ask questions of the waiter/waitress and/or make them ask the chef.
One HUGE suggestion is to add the menu of the restaurant, or an abbreviated version of their menu with the veg options only. Don't try and review the restaurant - just let people know what they serve, unless you are going to rate all the restaurants on the app.
Overall reaction: Fun to have, needs some work.

Cheesecake Factory - Southlake
Yes, I know this could be on the verge of being a "chain" restaurant, but I found the most outstanding salad on the menu that I just have to share it with everyone.
I of course could not make up my mind - especially with the breadth of selection that is available at the Cheesecake Factory - so I just made a random selection with the Vegetable Chopped Salad. This salad is so loaded with veggies that any vegetable lover would be satisfied. The combination of fresh asparagus, edamame, apples and the beets has now become a favorite of mine to make at home. I was a little skeptical of the Pomegranate Vinaigrette, so I ordered it on the side. It had a little too much "Asian" influence for my enjoyment with the salad. I quickly replaced it with the traditional vinaigrette and was exceptionally pleased.
This salad is definitely a recommended pick - and it's easy to make at home as well!
